Copy BeRAV to ~/bin. As it's a CL app, you'll need to open a terminal and type "berav -help". Alternately, you can go to the GeCAD site, http://www.ravantivirus.com/ and check out the Knowledge Base, http://www.ravantivirus.com/kb/
browse the Discussion List Archives, http://www.ravantivirus.com/archives/
or DL ProductDocs, http://www.ravantivirus.com/support/documentation.php
IIRC, what you want is at the back of the Linux Desktop Guide, and it doesn't tell you much more than "-help" on the CL does.
You can use the update files still availible on GeCAD's site. It will only work to 'clean' Win9x, you need read/write access to a filesystem to delete or quarentine files. You can still use it to scan though, at least untill someone ports Captive or similar to BeOS.
With all the heat M$ is taking over virus protection (or lack of ;^p ) and the fact that they alledgedly bought GeCAD so they could "build in" virus protection for Windows and have done nothing with it to date, I expect changes to the engine or updates for the viri defs to cease before long (6-8 mo?). It still smells fishy to me that they bought what was the most effective cross-platform virus solution I'd seen, immediately stopped all individual sales, and now haven't done ANYTHING with it, even in light of the recent virus troubles they've had! I would have thought they'd have made it availible again as a valuable weapon against the flood of nasties on the web if that was their true intent. Why leave everyone at the mercy of viri for 2 or 3 years while they "innovate" it so it's built-in?

It's a damn shame that one of the best cross-platform antivirus sollution I know of had to become another of Bill's EGO roadkills. This was fast becoming an ISP favorite, and along with CommuniGate Pro made email antivirus scanning services effective and affordable.
I use this app still occasionally. BeRAV is the ver. 8 engine. Updates are currently still availible at the GeCad site
http://www.ravantivirus.com
User docs for the Linux version will get you going, CL not the RAVLin Desktop version, although they may be included with it.
Repair Windows filesystems from the "Ease-of-Use and Stability of BeOS", also Free, Open, and NetBSD, Solaris, Mac OSX, and Linux on a few types of hardware.
Of course Bill had to buy it! It allowed (shudder) Linux and (retch) UNIX to fix some of the infected open wounds of his "security enhanced" and inovative OS. As soon as the sale of GeCad to M$ was announced last fall, all direct sale were ceased. Now you can buy a license to use it on your website to offer online virus scanning. Strange how it will only work on Windows systems, running Internet Explorer only as a browser.
Of course the rest IS still availible if you are an ISP or corporation and want to pay for it. I understand the price has gone up a good bit though. Hell, if you can't get security fixed, you might as well at least make some more money off it!

There is a Be virus, I made it!
Don't worry, it has no way to attack without being triggered, and because I controlled the entire cash of the virus (all one copy).. and then trashed it in a safe manner (it would self-activate if trashed the old way) it did not execute outside my network.. but it did work, and was way too easy to write.
This was an experiment to see just how easy a virus would be to write for BeOS.. and it is WAY too easy...though I feel we have little to worry about with me around ;-)

I have the Windows version of RAV antivirus and downloaded the BeOS version expecting an experimental product of some sort. Wrong!. This product is really serios. You can even update quickly (less than a minute total) with just a command line. The only way to make it better is doing the same and adding a GUI interface of some sort. This antivirus is not a joke.
