Make sure you are using $HTTP_GET_VARS (s'got an S), just a note aswell, _GET was added in php 4.1.0, so your version shouldn't have it
|
|
| $_GET or HTTP_GET_VAR ??? |

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that the old version of RH was MUCH better. True, you couldn't do PHP (at least without being a brain surgeon), but at least the Directory Handler worked correctly, and if I recall, spaces in filenames worked correctly too. I have had more nightmares trying to configure RH 1.2 than I did with the early version (.8 maybe?), and when I was doing the early version, I had never set up a web server before!!! I'm thinking I might go to Apache, even though RH WAS better...
|
|
| the one problems with RH is the same as Apache |

I loved Robin Hood, it rocked... however as others have commented its a bitch to configure. My challenge to anyone out there is to write a configuration preflet for either Apache or Robin Hood, because both of them have this very same Achille's heel!

in virtualhosts, i've specified that rh should provide a directory listing in the absence of an index file. this works in every dir but the webroot, which yields a 404: not found error. why?
eg: http://www.foo.com
would yield a 404
http://www.foo.com/bar
gives a directory listing.

It's amazing how simple it was (true Be feeling).
Got it running in 2 minutes.
Only thing I miss is no option to limit simultaneous users connections.

This is a Great server, only problem i have had is that it crashes when i have the wrong "rights" on the files (chmod -R 755 /phpfolder) helps, IIRC.
I currently have it running with PostgreeSQL and php....
