BTW, I downloaded the version 1.0.1 (according to BeBits) which is version 2.0.3a (according to the .pkg installer) and which is version 2.0.5 final (according to the application's info window)....

how to get rid of it

How to remove this? After copying the whole deskbar freezes and I have to shut down via Ctrl-Alt-Del. So I sent the whole ClipUp folder to Trash but then the complete deskbar dissapears.
Please help me out, because the present situation means I cannot copy anything anymore without problems.

Window taller than screen triggers bug

Very handy app - thanks. It goes a bit pear-shaped if the height of its window is taller than the screen though. I keep my deskbar in the top right and the window was positioned almost entirely off the top of the screen. By moving my deskbar to the bottom I could get at the clips to delete some and reach the slider to set it to store fewer clips (I believe I bumped it up a while ago).
Hope that makes sense and helps. Thanks again.

A bit too much

Werner,
I'm aware of the fact that you always put a lot of effort on making a good looking GUI, and I like that. Though in this case I think you have done a bit too much. I recently upgraded ClipUp and found that you had updated the GUI. It's annoying that it takes 1sec for the menu to appear and even a bit longer if I use the ctrl+shift+v option since it has to travel across the screen. At least leave an option to disable it. Also the window wobbles around a bit on screen when you move it, I see why you don't want to use a regular tab on the window though, but perhaps there's a fix to this problem? I've seen it in other apps as well, but for example CL-Amp doesn't act like that.
There was a few other things I wanted to say but I don't remember them at the moment so I'll be back :)
Thanks for an otherwise great app Werner. But just remember, keep it simple.

I almost forgot. Also could it not reside in the deskbar? It clutters things up for me & is un-nessecary as I use ctrl+shift+v to open the app. Also possibly a duplicate check so if you copy soemthing allready sotred in memory it simply selects it as the active clipping instead of ending up with many duplicates taking memory & spaces in clipup

Hmm I use Clipup & evey once in a while (& more then not) It will open to sleect a clip then freeze. At this point my deskbar freezes too. Thankfully I have a spicy key set to run a desktop reboot script I wrote. Then I'm fine but I would like to know why it does this. Possibly due to my deskbar? I'm using OT 5.1.7. Also I wanted to keep 48 clips in mem but it gets too long to fit on the screen. Any chance you can add a scroll arrow to mouse over in the next version?

One suggestion

Great app and seamlessly brings in multiclipboard functionality in beos.

The one thing i would like to see is an OPTION whether or not to restore clips after a reboot.

I think the major part is MULTICLIPS and ability to switch clips, anyway this OPTION won't hurt existing users as they can keep it on always.

But all in all a great app... Good work.

Small heart attack...

After installing (PPC - PowerMac4400/200) and restarting the input server, my mouse and keyboard stopped responding. I was, however, still able to initiate a reboot with the keyboard. Now everything is working nicely. Great app!

Easy of use, a must

Great little utility - can't imagine being without it. Copies everything you want, then you select from deskbar icon the one[s] you want to paste. Like the way the clips are still there after re-boot.

Great start, works as advertised.

Well, just as he sez, the application can and does remember up to 50 clippings, and those can be selected to be pasted. In the deskbar it is always available. Very simple, very nice and handy. A must have for editors and writers, as well as web surfers.
