or perhaps it's just a "lame" limitation :)
when i did try to convert 22.5khz mp3 to 44.1khz wav, the wav were still at 22.5. I needed to first convert them to 44khz mp3, then to wav to have proper 44khz. it's like it's impossible to acheive that in one step.
