This is 3rd or 4th time as far as i recall when Net+ import is broken by changes outside code controlled by me.
Anyway, i found the reason and filed bug. As soon as it get fixes, i will publish little *.so library in order to replace current one and fix this bug - no need to download full archive again.

Indeed, future BeOS-like operating systems will be using BONE or BONE-like net components, but right now I am using BeOS R5, not Dano, not BONE, not Zeta. When Zeta starts to sell and if it looks like a legitimate and useful product, I'll buy it and use it; then I will no longer want net_server-based software. ;-)
Thanks again for the net_server build!

If we have any expectations on future BeOS, it will contain BONE-like API in any case, Zeta or OBOS or what else...

I don't think 'zilla is getting fragmented on BeOS. Sergei is doing a great job on the gfx side of things, and when he wants the experimental bits testing, he puts a build up on BeBits. As he has a BONE system, the build is only for others with BONE. Official builds must be for NetServer, as BONE is essentially illegal for most people who use it (unless they were proper Be beta testers). As sergei says, all his patches can be built on either BONE or NetServer, and when proven that they work they are put into the main moz source tree so are applied to any build on any network stack.
I'm intending helping out with bezilla when I get my new computer (ordering the bits this weekend hopefully), and I will be using NetServer. You still probably wont see any more builds though, as uploading about 18MB from a 56K modem is not much fun ;)
ps: Using a recent nightly with the netserver gfx lib, very nice Sergei. I can see all the images, and definately getting faster, woohoo!

ctrl+w (or alt+w with the modifier key set properly) now closes the whole window instead of just the current tab. Not good. :-( This makes tabbed browsing rather a bit harder to use.
Other than that this build seems really solid so far, thanks!

I just downloaded the new build and it won't start up. It gets as far as "Creating first window..." on the splash screen and then hangs with high processor usage.
I removed my old Mozilla prefs before starting it, so that's not the problem.

I don't see problem here.
1)I use BONE due to its reliability on my system, i cannot allow crashes and connection-troubles on my systems - have billions of other problems to deal with/
2)StipZilla main goal is testing. Not everyday usage.
3)All tested and approved StripZilla features have big chance to be included in main Mozilla tree, sooner or later.
4)All netserver version appeared here are occasions, happened if and when someone wished to bring experimental patches to more wide publicity. I always appreciated those attempts, but again - those builds were never intended to be end-product for non-tester community, (read - netserver user majority).
So any voting is totally senseless, until some enthousiast like me, but using netserver, will really join BeZilla development and take care of building experimental versions for netserver.

It's getting a bit frustrating to NOT run Dano or BONE betas. I don't want the problems they cause, so that's why I don't use them. But the updates to Zilla are almost always for BONE and not net_server. I don't mean to bash your contributions. Sorry. I'm just getting to feel like the Zilla situation in BeOS-land is over complicated (like most stuff in Linux-land).

I don't do netserver builds.
Only way i could help BeOS (non-BONE) community was just creating those two update libs with help of another person.
Also i got e-mails from not-on-boradband people, who prefer to d/l little packages with libs, instead yet another 17 MB package.
(And even more. I 'm unable to do build at all now - something is broken here - so it is problematic for me now even create full BONE-build with all fixes).

I'm confused. What version is what for what networking stack. I mean, there have been notes about the net_server builds being older and such... Why can't we just have one download package that includes all the newest stuff and fixes all in one? This feels almost like Linux now.

Strange things happen. I know, StripZilla is not so good (persoanlly i think it is worth 6-7 points), but not SO bad, to vote for it with 1 point 2 times, especially if to take in account that last StripZilla/JustBrowser is best version so far (and this trange voting happened just last days).
Something similar happened with Refraction/SampleStudio voting before.
Maybe it was voting by users from some country where scale is inverted, and best point is 1, e.g. Germany???
In other case i can suspects only those brainless flooders who lurking everywhere and grumble, without ability to create something by self.

In reality it works. All buttons and menus in composer get activated as you type something in edit place.
I submitted patch for this bug 2 (years) ago, but nobody cares.
And don't expect at printing, drag-and-drop or anything else until BeZilla gets at LEAST ONE real developer/contributor in addition.

In current zip drop-down boxes work.
You can also put i nowt to work with libwidget update (also on stripzilla page), but i recommend to you d/l JustBrowser again.
Also look at current comment about XBL forms in JustBrowser part of StripZilla page

However some very basic things are still not working,
like clicking the yellow text bar on small or full windows. On full window the yellow bar is out of the screen and I cannot select anything else before I totally close mozilla. Some pop-up windows do the same :-(
Still no printing, composer doesn't respond to anything.
But browser part is faster and the bookmarks seems OK now. A big thanks to everyone involved!

No and yes.
1)No - i cannot do it myself - it will broke my mozilla build system for quite long time - and i need it permanently in order to work on code.
2)Yes - if someone wish to build Phoenix with fixes from StripZilla - it is very easy. Once build is successfully done, you need patch/replace only two folders, and recompile only those two folders - it will take about 5 minutes. Plus patch against flash-crash - 3 minutes. No nned to full rebuild

in BeOS it is nearly impossible to make mouse cursor jumpy by any resource hog application. It is not Windows 3.* or 9.* or KDE.
So it may be symptom of some wrong things in hardware, e.g if you use PS/2 mouse, some other h/w is sharing IRQ12 with it; or you use RivaTNT with PS/2 mouse; or experimental USB driver and non-working DMA for harddisk; or VESA mode instead real gfx driver.
Too few data to diagnose problem.

...but is it just me or is the latest weekly (with accelerant) a bit "jumpy"? I have never noticed this before but it seems to make my mouse cursor stick a little everyonce in awhile when it is rendering pages. Not a big deal and for no more than 1/2 second... the cursor just stutters a bit.
Anyway, please keep up the most excellent work!

1)Builds for BONE never were "stripped" in reality:)
2) Did you try change cache via Preferences? There are two places - for total disable - Debug->Networking, for size setting Advanced->Cache.
3)Build is based partially on 1.3 sources.
Problem is that these two goals contradicts heavily - working on issues and features - and keeping builds permanently up-to-date. At least until i can have several dedicated mashines for those tasks. But it isn't so yet/
4)I'm don't build Phoenix myself - again due that contradiction - setting build to Phoenix brokes Mozilla building, so i should have several source doubles. I proposed my help to man who made public Phoenix for BeOS, but he didn't show enthousiasm.
Anyway, when patches applied in StripZilla reach main tree, it automatically reach Phoenix.

this is one of the best Mozilla builds i've seen. however, it appears less 'stripped' all the time. i used the Bone build and it burns up just as much RAM as a standard build off ftp.mozilla.org. it looks like your gfx fix did the trick for the disappearing images. one thing is this build crashed repeatedly when changing disk cache to '0'. i had to change that via an entry in my own user.js prefs file. could you do a build based on the newest source instead of 1.2b? how about applying these fixes to a build of Phoenix 0.5? That would be excellent! thanks for all your efforts.

At least for me. Phoenix is good on Windows, but it is very unstable on BeOS. Also, BeOS is not a supported OS for Phoenix. I actaully find the the nighty testing builds of Mozilla better than Phoenix on BeOS. The current StripZilla is faster and more reilable than them both.
