Bone isnt just a power user thing. Alot of us don't run it cuz we don't want to be the typical Windows Warez guys anymore...
but Mozzilla has some big stability & speed issues still I hope they can be tweaked.

|
| the BONE versions usually work with net_server |

Apps ported from net_server to BONE often work on net_server. This was the case with me and a mozilla build for BONE. This is not a sure thing, but I'd give it a try.. BONE builds are more stable and reliable thanks to more thoughtful programming by Be, INC.
BUT, most people aren't using BONE...just those I talk too with a few exceptions... the silent majority is a bad thing...glad you spoke up about it ;-)

hi. just thought i'd add exclamation to the net_server requests here. BONE is still a power-user level thing, and the vast majority are using BeOS with net_server. could we please see this represented in the Stripzilla builds? thanks.

I'm using DANO and I was wondering if anyone was having this problem. Basically amounts to not being able to save any files in Stripzilla (pics off a page, downloading files, etc.).

I second the motion! PPC browser choices STINK! N+ is nice, but doesn't work on many sites that require JavaScript, etc. Mozilla, Bezilla, Stripzilla, Opera...I don't really care, but we need SOMETHING! --end of rant--

Really great work. After some diappointment with one of the very early versions, the latest ones really make a difference. Yes, some room for improvement left in terms of mainly UI responsiveness but in terms of functionality - wow!
|
|
| Much better, still needs lots of fine tuning :) |

You can actually use this browser. Kudos to the developers and their hard work. However, the preferences panel is quite broken. You can successfully change a few settings but quite often the OK button will stop working.
Also, the display is still very slow (letters should appear AS they are typed, but as is they appear much delayed), the scroll bars barely act like scroll bars. Also, a blinking cursor would be nice. But anyway, this is great progress. I only mention these things in case these comments save someone a time-consuming download.
I would like to see a future version (a complete one) that offers to strip out some excess features as well... hah.

After quite some time, I don't need to boot into Windows to do my online banking. Mozilla is still a little sluggish, but it seems to speed up with every new release.

That's it, the BeOS browser replacing net+ and Opera 3.6. It has come a long way and even without the mail and news features should go off beta soonest. Brilliant work.
