Its likely to be a net_server, unoptomised, unpatched build straight from CVS. However, I can no longer get to the BeZilla blog (fscking websense) so I can't check. I'll DL it though to see.

Can someone please tell me how I get the same fonts as in Netpositive?
I tried about all possible fonts but Net+ shows the Bebits page much nicer then Mozilla.
In eg the most left window the Anti-Grain Geometry in Net+ is spelled completely, in Mozilla it is spelled Anti-Grain Ge..
There is plenty space left for the whole word, how do I fix that??
Thanks

Is the new BeOS-build-box already live and accessible? What's the status of nightly builds?
Does the 1.0-tree build at all?
I've looked at the journal-comments, but did not find any info on that, sorry if I missed something.

On the menu at the top left of each bebits page is a version history link. Click on that, scroll down and you will often find old versions of the application available for download. I know there is the 8.0 version available.

I kept getting errors saying "chrome://content/browser.xul" parsing error. I replaced the browser.jar file and firefox works. I removed file-types pertaining to mozilla/justbrowser/firefox before tryping the firefox binary. Also removed the firefox settings folder in ~/config/settings/Firefox.
I actually fused this version with the previous version to get it working because I had some corrupt .so file - libgklayout.so.

maybe that's could help you.
I've got all these problems but
- after moving all my previous firefox installation on a unmounting partition,
- using an empty profil,
- using the script reoderAsBefore.sh,
- open Firefox with a FileTypes add-ons and rename the mime, save and reset it as before,
i could start this build :-P
After, i inject my previous settings to retrieve bookmarks, histories, passwords, cookies and tabbar.

I've tried everything that's been mentioned here in the talkback to the the netserver version running on my machine, still no luck. Is there any chance of a build without the profile migration "feature"? I'd be happy to test anything that needs testing or try to get some more useful feedback if you tell me what you need to know.
Also, you can kill Firefox with process controller, but you have to kill the BApplication thread (it's the only one running for me), rather than trying to kill the app as a whole.

In this case, go in Terminal, do a ps and kill the process assign to Firefox (kill process-number)...
Even ProcessController can't kill it.

Sounds you havn't tried the empty profile. It seems that it's the problem with profile-migration. After migration it tries to restart itself and we (I) havn't had time to investigate how to fix it. (We need more devs).

When I try to launch firefox, it is added to the taskbar with no windows and refuses to open. It is also unkillable, either from command line or from the little task manager applet. And it prevents the system from shutting down. I have tried the following:
1. Remove Mozilla/, Phoenix/ and firefox/ in /boot/home/config/settings/
2. Remove the firefox FileType
3. Go into FileTypes for the application and hit enter on the Signature field
4. Reboot.
5. Uninstall, Reboot, Install again, reboot
6. Curse at it.
None of these things have done any good. This really stinks, ya know. BeOS Max 3.1b1 on an AMD Athlon TBird 950. Thanks for whatever help you can give me...

I don't think it's the new patch, the only difference in startup is that we use execv when the browser is needed to be restarted (ie after profile migration).
I think it's a path- and library-problem due to the fact that we launch the browser without the script and reorder libraries.

It seems that Locale XPI and some extensions break the profil. Firefox can't start anymore and the profil must be reinstalled (backup profil before any XPI installation :-P).
PS: Flashblock can installed.
Re-PS: an empty profil must be used as firefox (bezilla) failed with any of my used profils (runs fine with my build ?! seems the last 'BeApp' patch, decaf ?!)

Excellent.. got the 0.9.3 version working after a little messing around. FYI, if it won't load up even with the blank profile, open FileType on the executable, click in the MIME type input box, hit enter once, and save. Worked wonders.
About the title of the comment though - Themes install no problem. XPI extensions however break the browser quite effectively, which really really stinks as half the point of FF is extensions. I tried several extensions, each one made the browser quit out before it even loaded after they were installed.
Is there some special trick I should know about?

When I try to start it with no traces of Firefox in ~/config/settings it hangs like ngrenier described. When I install the default profile the Firefox tries to start and then closes immediately as it did with the previous build. I tried with downloaded profile, removed application/firefox and application/mozilla, also with copied old profile into the place of downloaded one (but keeped directory name). None of those things helps.
Also running it from terminal with window size commands, and full path or just name od directory of profile doesn't work :(
It also shouldn't be a problem of lacking libdl.so as i have it installed.
What else i should try to look for?

1) Don't install in same folder as previous Firefox folder, but place it where you want your Firefox dir to reside.
2) Remove Application/Firefox in Filetypes.
3) Reboot
4) Try to launch Firefox.
After that you can also renaming your ~/config/settings/Mozilla/Firefox dir and install the empty profile. Reboot and try to launch. If it launches then there is a problem with your profile.
(It seems we have to do some cleanup with app-signature startup-script and path to get away with this once for all...)

It's a non-ststic build which means it's not all in the executable.
I can't support Zeta as I don't have it and I'm not very interested in Zeta either due to the treatment I've gotten from Yellowtab.
Don't ever copy files from one Firefox dir to another. Only replace the directories completly. Try removing the Firefox filetype in filetypes. Restart and then try to launch again. Other then that ask YellowTab.

I dont can use this package under Zeta, can you create a package to install it on Zeta, or make an tutorial to introduce the user to copy the files on the right place.
Why the Firefox startfile have 144KB and the old one 17,98MB?
I have made an savefile from my old firefox and copy then all new files into this folder, then i copy the library (the only one new #.so into the libs folder) into the right folder, the new firefox version dont starts. i have test this with and without the new library.
