There is an updated package available at http://www.geocities.com/pjcollier/flac_1.1.2_haiku_x86.zip
I contacted sleepypedro to transfer the page to me, but he couldn't remember his password and couldn't get the Lost Password link to work. I didn't want to create a separate page and never heard back from anyone at bebits about changing ownership of the page.

FLAC 1.1.2 release was reelased a few months ago:

FLAC has many things going for it, which is why it's on the rise. It would be real nice to see an updated BeOS build.

I read that it won't be in the new Media player for Haiku. FLAC is THE audioformat which everyone should adopt and probably would want to if it was a bit simpler than mp3 or OGG. BEsides FLAC is lossless and HDD prices are going down. Can someone please keep this updated and make sure it comes along with Haiku... since I can't code I'm begging for help
