Try to change %A in FF "native settings" to exact path of FF folder
like
/boot/apps/mozilla or what you have there
and see if it changes something in your problem

The Besync Add-Ons will not work if you have Firefox 'native' settings on your UserSetupEnvironment script. I have no idea why this should be!

Besync works after a fashion.
I'm using a Treo 600 (PalmOS 5.2) 600 Besync will complete a full backup, albeit slowly. Palmreflections jumps files and BePalmSync crashes. Contact will sync with people files OK with some fields pasted wrong, but the Address application smooths that out and the calender can get a bit muddled and need to be straighten out. Only works on serial port of course.
If only the conduit add-ons could be updated this would be a really dandy programme.
However BePalmSync (http://vonnieda.org/BePalmSync/) is open source so maybe someone could develop it further.

BeJay

Mysteriously serial and printer ports disappeared in my Zeta installation and I reinstalled to sort out the problem. Out of curiousity I also reinstalled BePlan and, behold! All the add-ons in Besync now load and talk to my treo.
Can any knowledgable soul tell me if the two sets of problems are related, possibly to some software I installed or setting that were changed. The trouble is I love trying out things and I'm not sure what might have caused the problems, hey ho!
But this is still a great suite of apps and I really wish that the developers would continue to work on them, or open the sources.

I'm now having the same problems in Zeta. Does anyone have any idea what the issues might be? I have emailed the developer, but no response. :-(

I wonder if anyone from Abisoft looks at this page?
A few weeks ago the memo module of BeSync on my R5 (bone) installation stopped loading. This was remedied by simply deleting the module. Now however, both the datebook and people modules have also died. - they
refuse to load. I uninstalled and reinstalled the programme and deleted all configuration files, but still the same problem.
He is the debug data from Teminal
$ BeSync
Datebook Add-On unloadable
After Datebook addon deleted:
$ BeSync
instantiate() symbol not found in Add-On Memo
After Memo addon deleted:
$ BeSync
People Add-On unloadable
After People addon deleted does load allowing back up and installation functions but not really all what one wants! Did you write expiry dates into these modules? :-(
Curiously, the Datebook and People modules are still working on my Zeta 1.1 installation but the Memo module behaves as describes.
Obviously, the addons need to be rewritten for the software to work. As Haiku is nearing completion and Zeta has a viable future with Magnussoft is there any possibility that development might be resumed, or even the sources opened so that this hugely useful programme could be given an extended life? As SkyOS now uses BeOS People files it might be possible to have a version for that platform also.

BeJay

This is a great set of apps for those who want to be organized in BeOS, even if you don't have a Palm device. The Memo tool is very much what I've been looking for.
Don't be cheap--BePlan is worth the $15!

BePlan has the necessary features for any Planner/Calendar/Datebook to be useful to BeOS users. The interface is simple and easy to understand. Missing are utilities to fix the data files if anything goes wrong. Also, a fresh download of the trial version shows appointments in pig-latin, even tho that punishment is supposed to be reserved for those who have used it for 31 days or more. Suffice it to say, I'd buy it (if I could figure out how) ...
