The main coder has recently woken up and started adding lots of new features, such as direct connections and others aswell.
Is there anyone out there using this who can't compile their own versions?
Reguarding BONE, im sorry but I lack a non-BONE system to test it on, my network card doesn't work without BONE.
If the only thing stoping you using BONE is the fact you can't find it (and you've actually looked) then email me and maybe i can help you.
If you don't want/have BONE for other reasons, but really want to use this, then contact me and I will see what I can do, but i didn't think there would be much interest.
So yeah if there is interest in my continuing to keep this port(BONE or non-BONE) uptodate, then email me or/and reply and I will see what I can do when my exams finish (tomorrow (yay))

I am sure YSM runs fine, but I don't appreciate being attacked. I didn't say nor imply nor whine about free apps. I can only imagine those who are attacking those of us who are pointing out legitimate faults are knothead programmers who "know everything" and tell the rest to program it themselves if it doesn't work for them. That's quite rude. It kind of shows a lack of support or care for the end-users. Yes, it should have been labelled with "for BONE" at the end to keep folks like me from going off about stupid things. However, I've put up my post and I'm now dropping the issue. It's childish to continue any more. Good day.

this developer *should* have called the app "ysmv7 for BONE" to minimize any confusion or wasted time, but the app belongs here, because it's for beos. specifically, it's for beos users who decided to go with BONE, because BONE works. if you don't want to use pirated software, fine. then understand that this isn't for you and move on - better yet, compile the app yourself for net_server and appreciate how much effort goes into the work before you prate and whine on and on about how no one's making apps for your dead operating system. then, maybe you can go start a BUG with the few PPC users who simp and whinge about how no one's devloping or compiling for their platform. developers owe you nothing. stop moaning about free apps that aren't even meant for you.

Now, I know some people are lazy, but this is ridiculous. That one commentor has a point, that not many people in the least have BONE on their BeOS computers. I know I certainly don't. It's pretty pointless to create a client that most people can't use unless they have Linux. If there's no interest in creating a client that doesn't require nonexistant software, then put it up for download elsewhere and keep it out of BeBits to minimize frustration. Either that, or reprogram the dang thing for net_server or something that people DO have.

BONE never got released and there arent much users that has it, just some developers (and people that recived it leaked) All the this BONE only apps that gets posted drives me nuts. Think of the mainstream public. I really think you should consider building this with the netserver, if its to hard, you should consider getting some help...

This version has had very little testing, so don't be suprised by bugs
I will try to keep the code in CVS compiling under BeOS most of the time, but will only do binary releases when i feel like it.
It is currently linked against BONE, I have no idea if will compile under net_server and don't have much interest in trying. I will try to make it work with OBOS and the OBOS netserver, but no guarentees.
