Yes, The deskbar version does have some issues while trying to quit. I have nearly finished the changes to make it a stable app and will release it with source in the next few days (Hours?).
Thanks for all the positive feedback, and as always (please) feel free to contact me with any issues, suggestions, complaints and hopefully complements :)

This is exactly what I've wanted. I've had no problems with it yet, and the implementation is great!

As nerfherder asked, I've got a DLink DI-713p, which seems to have SNMP in version 2.60 build 2 of the firmware. But it doesn't work with the LinkSys log viewer. Perhaps I don't have the settings right, it has checkboxes for enabling it locally and remotely. Plus a Get Community box which says "public" and a Set Community box which says "private". But no online help to explain it.

I grabbed this update and now it works for me. Great app! Thanks!
Ok, now that it DOES work, I have a feature request..
Make a deskbar replicant. It'd be nice to see that icon in my deskbar and be able to click it to see what's been going on. :-) Thanks again!

Which DLink router do you have? I have an older one, but I am not sure if it is even capable of sending out the snmp info.

I've had hardware failures on all three Linksys pieces of equipment I've ever owned. The BEFW11S4 router/wireless base station/hub box which gradually failed over a day (and the replacement did the same), gave up and got a D-Link box which isn't as pretty, but works, and is more BeOS compatible (internal DHCP server, configuration web pages). My Linksys PCMCIA wireless card did last for two months, now I've got an SMC one.
Anyway, back on topic, the log viewer here doesn't recognize the SNMP info from the D-Link router. Not a big problem since it has a nice web page viewer too.

I didn't have any problems with seeing the log from my linksys router BEFSR41. Seeing the log didn't help me to understand why the router is such a piece of junk though. :-)

I have been unable to get this app to see anything from my router. I'm using a Linksys BEFSR81 and logging is enabled, as my OS/2 machine sees the SNMP stream fine. I've changed IPs and done all sorts of changing things, but the app just isn't catching it. This machine is currently running BONE, but may go back to net_server soon.

I could look into support for the Vigor2200 (assuming it sends the SNMP traps, or other broadcasts log format). Do you have any documentation(In English) for the device?
Also, I'll get the PPC bins up later tonight

Im asuming other routers work, there should be an option in your router setup for it, to change the logging ip address, I imagine date would come in a similar format.

Works nicely !!
Would it be possible to use it with other routers , aswell ? as I also use a Vigor2200 where I can set the port and server IP for syslogging ?

I added a time stamp to this version, but it is displayed in unix time. I will make it a little more user friendly for the final release.
