Hi! I recently installed the great BeOS in my laptop (fujitsu FMV-biblo MG12C, a japanese one) which comes with the i810 chipset. I have BeOS version R5.0.3 PE Max Ed v3, and installed the new drivers bundled in the distribution (which I noticed that they are the same as this i815 gfx driver).
In my case, I only can get 800x600 @16bits .. it is fixed, and I cannot change it. I want to tweak the resolution, anyone knows how to do it? at least 1024x768x16b...
I tried to increase the memory reserved even beyond the 4 mega of that single line config file (8M, 12M, etc..), but no way..
Any suggestions?

Some time ago I saw that Scoty Mc from BeDrivers.com has a documentation of i845 (and maybe other chips). Try to conatct him. Maybe with Rudolf (NVidia driver author) or Thomas (ATI driver author) help someone could make this driver. It is very popular chip.

Why cannot set at 24bpp in BeOS while i'm running i810 video?Did somebody can make tweaked i810 driver that support 24bpp and not only this modification but to be with more tweaks? Like faster frame rates and something like this.

i810 graphics cards are supported by default in BeOS r5. THis driver was only to extend that suppot to i815 also. There is a script for the i810 driver in beos to give it more memory and make your resolution higher, you dont need this driver for i810 cards. use tracker and search for i810 on your machine and read the documentation.
