Isn't there an admin for bebits? He/she could maybe delete/modify this entry?

We sold ObjektSynth 2 through BeDepot until late 2000, when Be closed it down. Now ObjektSynth is available again. The new BeBits entry is:
http://www.bebits.com/app/4309
Objekt was Eric Iverson and Curt Malouin - neither of us can remember the password to update this entry (and the domain is long gone). Mayan Technology is a new company started by Curt Malouin.

Thanks for the pointer to SynC Modular. I will check out the demo and see if this is worth my time or money. If I can get cool sounds out of it, it would be worth the $50.
r2m looks like exactly the kind of thing I will avoid for the rest of my life... :-P

objektsynth 2 was publicly available, but, per the authors, the code will not be opened in the foreseeable future, nor will the program be available in any distributable form (payware or otherwise). this may change when openbeos is better established, but until then, "please don't share objektsynth".
so it's abandonware without the ware.
sigh.
you can still buy sync modular (http://www.bebits.com/app/1320) for, like, 50 bucks, and there's still end user development by well-sussed fans and notable vst(i) developers like dash synthesis, although sync itself is no longer developed (dr. sync moved onto native instruments and the forthcoming reaktor4). however, the sync mailing list is lively and dr. sync reads/posts regularly.
r2m (http://www.bebits.com/app/2172) is another cool beos softsynth, and it's free.

As far as I know both Objekt synth 1 & 2 where not released to the public although I belive Objekt Synth 2 WAS finnished but never sold or given to the public. It was finnished for use by the author & that's about it. The first one is avail via pirate places not mentioning any rougue BeShare servers 8^) so you could try your luck there.

|
| Thanks Jess, that's what I thought. Is the software downloadable anywhere? |

objekt synth 2 was in the works when the author scrapped things. It's been dead a long while now.
|
|
| Is this product dead too? |
