Did you need to do any changes to get 0.71 to compile?
configure stops and says I have to have sdl 1.2 but I have the latest sdl compiled from source.
I have Zeta 1.21

Sorry if i made you look into a non-existent bug for nothing

I'm actually wondering about that too. Some years ago GOG did help me to install & run GTA. Lately I've enjoyed playing Dune (the one where you visit sietches with ornithopters and worms) using DOSBox, but it upsets Tracker because it locks up the scratch buffer or something. 0.70 also has many new DOS games supported so a new version would really be appreciated (as is the current one).

This is in dire need of updating. They just got a major speed increase which this version is devoid of.

gcc newer than 2.95 only works if it's built with c code and not C++.
But one could try to see if the problem still exist..

try this
Replace
#if defined (_MSC_VER)
with
#if defined (_MSC_VER) || defined (__BEOS__)
in cpu.cpp line 41
Now the big problem now are to make fpu_instructions_x86.h to build

seem i'm unable to get the 0.70 version to compile, i get stuck on some CPU_LOG #DEFINE or something like that.
While reading the configure script running it seem that version need SDL 1.2 or more, so it "should" work with our 1.2.2.

Today I played around with version 0.63 and the older 0.62 version.
With zeta 1.2 dosbox 0.63 doesnt load the dosbox.conf file. only manual or if started within the terminal it will start and load the configurations file...
With 0.62 no problems... hmmm anyone the same problem.
After looking into the 0.65 Version for windows I recognized there are indeed some changes in the dosbox.conf file. So there must be more changes than I expected before.
Would be great if someone will try to compile this Version for BeOs/Zeta/Haiku
Cheers Bruno

I downloaded and installed the version 0.95 for windows and found out that the main changes were made in recording the screen to harddisk with windows, so it will not be a major update to have for BeOs, but I am not sure about this the videorecorder will work with ffmpeg, and we have this driver too? Hmm not sure about it, though.

(from dosbox page but it would be the same)
First mount the CD-ROM as you normally would with FreeBSD from a non-DosBox command prompt:
mount /cdrom or mount -t cd9660 /dev/acd0 /cdrom
Now in DosBox type
mount d /cdrom -t cdrom
(In beos you need to know what mount name it has.)
oh and DosBox is up to 0.65..

Its not on their Games List as being supported, its also not on the non-supported list. Yes is a good guess...
If you meant Time Paradox, its supported and has been since 0.61 or before, apparently: http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/comp_list.php?showID=1921&letter=T&search=Paradox
I'm currently waiting on dnet to get back to me, again, in cause you're wondering where the dnetc is.... Once they get back to me it should be a matter of days before its up on BeBits,

It was linked using libSDL_net and libSDL_sound from LibPak, and they in turn seem to be linked to everything under the sun
I'm making a new build tonight that doesn't have OpenGL support (seems to be slowing it right down), and I'll not link it to SDL_net and SDL_sound.
