This stuff wasn't revised for R5 and mostly doesn't compile without some work. Mainly missing header declarations, due to a change in policy about excessively chaining the BeHeaders.
So, you'll sure learn something about the API by the time you get through it all. :)

The R5 sample code is different from the R4.5 sample code, as R5 introduced new and updated API (IIRC the new MIDI Kit was introduced with R5).

I'm not sure if there's anything different in this zip. Like I said in the description, it's straight off the website. However, I think a few dates of files or folders may be a little bit more recent. Perhaps someone could DL and compare... it's 4am and I need to sleep. :-)

i think the point of this being here is that PE users would otherwise not have easy access to these items.
