Thanks Hugh,
I actually have eXposer (commercial license) and LOVE it. I have emailed Stephen a number of times for enhancements and such. He has been very responsive and he is a great app developer. He uses it to create his own animations. This is one of the reason I commend the BeOS community, its users and developers. With apps like his and this new Post Magic, I will continue to use BeOS (and its assorted flavors) for years to come. Thanks again to Post Magic and eXposer!

Great to see such a project finally materialise! I never heard of it before - good you did a Bebits-release! :)
It's a shame however that Edirol don't sell their video-app separately - this is Apple's forced-hardware-philosophy...
What ever happened to Honeycomb? It was also supposed to become an open-source video-editing-suite (with 3d-support and all) - and VirtualDub2.0 is also taking ages (but should be easier to port) - so it's good to see a project that really produces something:) Maybe you can use some parts of VirtualDub and Honeycomb (if only design-docs).
I have an unsupported DC-20, but would love to do some video-editing in BeOS, the media-creators platform of choice...
BTW for ernestTX: You might also want to take a closer look at this app, specially designed for your needs I think:

I'll look what I could contribute to this project and get in touch with you, Nathan - I'll love to support this promising and much overdue app!
Hugh

same mistake as I did in the first version of nplay...
you DON'T want to set priority of the video decoding thread to realtime !!!!!
Btw I still plan on rewriting nplay... maybe you could focus on the editing part instead of writing yet-another-media-player ? :)
(Btw, did you check out Virtual-Be-Live ? a bit limitted, but there are good ideas in)

THANK YOU, Thank You, thank you, thank u!!!!!
Sorry, but just got online, went here and nearly fell out of my chair. I create animations (drawn, 3d and clay stop motion) and have been longing for this app (especially the compositing part).

Further downwards there are 2 nice screenies of the pro version GUI of Video Canvas.
Be sure to use Mozilla to get a detail image ;-)
Good Luck to you.
Since the abandonning of Adamation there is an urgent need for an App like this on BeOS, since it is more easy & better/faster/more flexible to edit videos as on any other architecture (Wibndows/Lunix&MacOS X all suck, tried them all with a big variety of tools; except final cut pro which is not so cheap-o ;-) and besides on the wrong platform...)

Sounds cool! I'm definitely looking forward to your video editing app - a VDub workalike for BeOS would be nice =)

Very easy app to build for PPC. Good start on this app, but needs drag & drop for opening movies. Also, is it possible to open several movies at once? Perhaps it is and I just missed it...
