Hi, i want to create VCD Menus with vcdimager but in this version there is no vcdxbuild, i've downloaded the latest version from CVS and i've tried to compile it but when i ./configure it i get these errors:
"checking for pkg-config...no (here i get an error but it continues configuring)
checking for libcdio >= 0.65... Package libcdio was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libcdio.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
no package 'libcdio' found
configure: error: Required libcdio library not found. Please get libcdio from http://www.gnu.org/software/libcdio/ and install"
Can someone help me with it, i was learning how to create the VCD menus with xml files but i didn't know that in BeOS there is no VCDXBUILDER so now i need it ;). Thanks in advance.
Greetings.

barbaroja: Download the ORIGINAL version of bud: http://www.bebits.com/app/3800 (see carefully because there is 2 versions, LITE (only ffmpeg GUI) and ORIGINAL (only for authoring tools like vcd imager ;)), it's a wonderful tool by etno ^_^.

you probably need to demux your mpeg file, use bbtools with the command line bbdmux,
then use bmplex using vcd output format to multiplex your new movie.
bmplex is no longer there at the moment : you could find it on beshare , but i will post it again there in a few hours....
good luck

I have the big Problem that VCDimager doesn't make ani VCD.
I ripped at first a film with DVDripper and saved it on the harddisk.
Then I began to convert it using ffmpeg into a MPEG-1 video strem that is 352x288@25 fps in size and has a framerate of 1151 kbit/s.
And even in one turn I made an MPEG1-layer2 Audio-Stream with a bitrate of 224 kbit/s and a framerate -or whatever it is called- of 44100.
The Format is mpeg.
The I try to make an image for a VCD using "vcdimager video.mpeg"
But then vcdimager says that it is no MPEG-Stream.
Have I to define the format for the VCD?
Please help, it is very impossible that i can make VCDs.
Thanks a lot, Zephyr

mictlantecuhtli: yes.
sfgargar: Forget the petition. They even got BeOS explicitely in their FAQ when answering that they won't port to other platforms...
OSBOS will have to become a real hit before enough users are here to give a partition a chance.

Good job! Now, how about a _small_ frontend like "VCDEasy" ;)
I guess there's no easy way to port Delphi stuff to the BeOS, right?
Now we just have to convince the TMPEG guys to port their app. Fat chance, though... :{
