Still not working - mind you it is better but every once in a while it dies. Says it's dropped a frame & then gives me a ratio like 34 > 52 or something... I dunno I have never had any problems till now. oh well games just waste life right? heh

Hi Jess,
Try replacing libGL.so and so on. There may be a new release of Cheat 'O Be later tonight, which supports searching for and setting large values, there will also be a PPC version, the PPC compatible code was sent to me by Ove.

I'm not sure what to replace... Quake 2 does tno use SDL or anything else that I know of. Nothing else on the system has any probs or wierd quirks that do use things like SDL though. I may A B with my other system when I get it back (I loaned it to a friend for a bit) But past that I use al my 1337n3$$ & couldn't fnid anything to narrow the problem down. If I run the Eraser Mod it runs fine... it's Quake Single player that's some how gibbed - also what I ran with Cheat O Be. Oh well I tried I got burned - thanks for the work & the ideas. unless I find what might have been gibbed & replace it I guess no quake for me :(

I've changed the filename so netpositive will download the file fine now.
The Quake2 problem your having is a bit strange, but there's no question that using Cheat 'O Be can sometimes cause problems, the app as far as i know is not buggy, but when you modify memory locations strange things can happen. Usually the app itself should not be affected even if it crashes, maybe you can try replacing the BeOS libraries to see if this fixes your problem. I've used Cheat 'O Be a lot and have not had any problems.
One thing to point out in the current version of Cheat 'O Be, is that it only searches for values between 0 and 255, so while you can search for values larger than 255, the value will be truncated down to 255, i'm looking into adding support for short, and long searches and keeping Cheat 'O Be simple to use with not too many options. Someone with a little coding experience can easily modify the search code to search for larger values like ushort(65535 max) and recompile, making sure that search_length is /2 for ushort searches, and /4 for ulong.
As to the neogeo emu, if anyone can get hold of the source to NeoRageX then of course i'd be willing to join with Jack to do the port, i'm sure that NeoRageX uses the Allegro programming library, so the port could be very easy to do. I can email the authors of NeoRageX to see what will happen, it would not be a bad idea for others to email the NeoRageX authors with a sensible email asking please would they allow someone to port NeoRageX.

It appears that the problem some are having with the download link has to do with the filename. The filename contains spaces and not all browsers handle spaces in filenames the same way.

Ok I made a joke about Q2... right after I posted I started to try Cheat O Be on a few games... I tried on Quake 2 against the computer to seeif I could carry say 400 grenades... Well quake is now skrewd. I even nuked it & added a fresh copy to the system rebooted & a host of other things. Quake does not work at all in some instanaces & has some major skrew ups in others. It's always whining about overflows & I never even got to a point to try to add anything. If you can any insite as to how to undo this Caz I'd sure appreciate it.

Were you using Net+ to download. If so, that might be the problem. I used it, and it didn't like the link. I tried again in Mozilla and it worked just fine. That's not to say that the link shouldn't be fixed so as to work with Net+, just that it does work with Mozilla (and possibly Opera).
