I'm not realy aware about normalization. (and in english,I haven't realy udersand the problem)
but in my test I have normalized a many times some test files and it loss quality.

I'd like to know wasup with this. I looked at what this does
& I fail to see how it's "Normalization". mp3gain does need a flag that normilaizes as I dont see much use in the way things are set up ATM. In any case I have to wonder about this app cuz it forces a decible change of 1DB & I dont see how this works as its forcing it with no warning of clip. As well it would seem to relay on a max volume of the group of files & make this rather useless for a single file & again I wonder how only 1 db of gain will ensure a true normalization. Please fill me in if I'm missing something as thats the point of this talk back.

There was already an "app like that", mp3gain already was published on bebits, the added value here is only the script (still nice for those who don't want to bother with Terminal).

Yes, mp3gain is lossless, except for a few cases (IIRC it gives a warnings in such cases), as it doesn't reencode the file, just fixes gains directly, which can be reverted.

How come the process is supposedly lossless, but the readme says: "do not process more than one time on sames files or u will lost quality"?
