SCreen burn-in is somethign lost with the svga days. Screen
savers are now more for taking a break or fun as CRT's have
been burn-in free for almost 10 years. If you could still
burn-in modern CRT's then we'd never have to turn our systems
on to see BeShare ;) The grey is bad though. Black or a very
close value to r0 g0 b0 would be much better. There is one
more thing to note however... For all we know this dude is
using a poor old ega or svga monitor. Let's pray for his 32bit
color & a decent resolution to the computer gods shall we?

Screen savers stopped saving screens years and years ago. Burn-in is a problem of the past with older CRT designs. To have burn-in with modern CRTs, you'd have to have the same thing on the screen for months at a time, and even then...
If you have proof that I'm full of crap... point me to it so I can learn. :-) ;-)
This doesn't mean that I never use screen savers. Sometimes they're just nice to have and they make nice "privacy screens" for when you walk away from the machine. I personally use the Matrix screen saver on BeOS.

Hi,
This is a good start to a nifty screensaver... looking forward to the next version. A question though, why is the background color light grey? It should probably be black to be a "screen saver", grey will burn things out (and it's a little harder on the eyes.)
