the cl-amp plugin certainly worked (in_vorbis) replaced a 130KB in_vorbis with the new one, only 21KB and it works good. I don't get those skipping problems. now only If I could copy my mp3 tags and attributes to ogg... how do I do that

I believe that the package at http://bebits.com/app/1058 has a CL-Amp plugin that will properly play newer Vorbis files. Also, if you use the new Haiku media server, MediaPlayer can play them (as well as several other formats). As for the playback issues, I can't promise anything, but I'll try to look into it when I have a little more free time.

some problems

I use the oggenc along with cd-empogger. I've tried using just plain oggenc without cd-empogger. Well I think it has some bugs, sometimes the beginning of file is cut a tiny bit, and sometimes the song play-back skips and no sound is played for a tiny blip. I can see on vlc messages, that when it skips messages come up, that don't look like normal operation.

Well I encoded using LAME 192Kb/s and it sounds fantastic, better than the ogg and 160Kb/s no skips, and messages on vlc. (well they should both be the same since those levels are the 'transperancy' which means sounds equal to original quality)

Also cl-amp cannot play ogg files, but vlc can.

Is this anything you're capable of trouble shooting or fixing, or is this just a 'as is' sort of thing on BeBits ?

Thank You!

Worked cool but I couldn't figure out which one of the packages contained oggenc etc. Could you be more specific with the libs, or just put the main archive 1st?

My initial response was "Oh the 1st one is bigger, must be everything" Doh... : )
