I ran it yesterday, it's cool, a nice start. On shutting down the computer it crashed, now it won't open. Here's the sc:

There has been a long list of docks for BeOS, none of which never really made it... besides older releases of BeOS had a dock :)
search for DR8 in BeShare to see how it loocked like.
Other panels I saw that are interesting include FakeBar (replicant area), and lots of abandoned ones for R3, which you can find by searching ftp.be.com mirrors.

One thing that I like about the know panel and the old panel for MacOS is that the panel could be collapsed so that it appeared only as a tab on the edge of your screen. Would a feature like this be available in a future version?
And if you need ideas for applets, http://www.xiph.org/mgm/ would be great ;)

I must admit that one of the things I liked so much about AmigaOS combinded with the Opus Magellen workbench replacement was the ability to create toolbars so that you could launch commenly used apps with a single click, rather than having to keep going through the menu's all of the time.
Would it be possible in future to be able to have it as either a floating bar, also could the shape of it be defined (rows etc).
Looks good, didn't crash when I dumped a load of programs on it, nor when it was lauched as a startup program. Good job :-D
