CVS copy

Got the CVS copy. Compiles without a glitch. Now to figure out how to get the OpenAL runtime calls to match the thread for the setup calls (Appserver thread vs Window thread). OpenAL for command line apps works fine, but the second you construct a window you run into TLS issues.

beos stuff is also in cvs

the beos version doesn't have AL_MIN_GAIN, AL_MAX_GAIN, AL_SOURCE_STATE, AL_PLAYING and maybe some others

or rather the game kit perhaps?

afaik OpenAL isn't really suitable for high end media but for games. so the game kit would be a better choice. However, in which way would it be used in the OBOS API? It's better to keep the seperated IMO.

Re: Curious- how will this effect/enhance OBOS?

As it's free, it could be used in OBOS, I think.

I know several 3D games that use (or can use) this library, so this could make porting a bit easier..

Curious- how will this effect/enhance OBOS?

Could this library be incorperated into/used as part of the obos Media Kit?
Hmmmm...
