Hello.
It looks the program is only considering the first word entered for the search. For instance, if I enter "Bruno XXX" (without quotes) it will always return the same image no matter what I replace xxx for. I did notice you get the images from google so I was able to confirm my theory (if I search for "Bruno" in Google I got as the fist image the same image I get from Paper-O-Matic, while searching for "Bruno G. Albuquerque" gives a different first image in Google and the same image as teh search for "Bruno" in Paper-O-Matic).
Anyway, it is a nifty tool. :) Adding a timer to it to automatically cycle through the results Google provides would be cool.
-Bruno

That's the reason you're not supposed to run it from the terminal ;)
However, if its actually not working at all for you, then let me know... this release *should* work okay. But that's what I said before, so ignore that =P

Version 2.0 has now been released! Unfortunately, it doesn't really address the "other workspace wallpaper removal" problem. But never mind!
Unlike the previous version, this one has user options, and has the ability to scan a file. A lot of changes have been made, including fixing a bug which made it almost completely fail to work, all of the time.
Oh, and new in version 2.0 is an actual, real, genuine *description*. Admittedly, this takes the fun out of it.

From the readme:
" * Un-sets wallpaper for any other desktops. So if you have a
complex set of multiple wallpapers for various desktops, do
not use this app. "
That's unfortunately a known bug in this first release. I'll see if I can work around it for the next one; however, I think the only way is to save the workspace settings for each desktop, and update them all at once. I'm not sure, and the BeAPI documentation doesn't seem to be very helpful on that matter.
As for the cancel button, that's already there. Just click the button again to cancel a search, or close the app. If you meant an "undo" button, no, it doesn't have that. Is it really required?

You've actually gotten it to DO something? Let's hear it, then. Whatever I type into it, it just sits there cycling its button caption, then tels me that there is nothing.

If you've got a (fairly fast) active connection to the 'net, try entering various common words or phrases into the text box provided and hitting enter. It saves the bother of manually locating a suitable desktop image... Oh, you might need to enter the query a couple of times if your connection is a bit laggy...
