because for one reason and I bet a big one - not very many people have python. Another reason is that there is no definitive distro of python, that comes with pynumeric and pygame - And very much doubt people would take the time to install all these things if they have not done so, just to run a game.
Also, this way does not conflict with any version of python you need or you use, or that is already installed. Different people use different versions of python for different reasons.
I packaged everything up, all ready to run, and all you have to do is click on the icon.
Why shouldn't I do this?
If you know what you are doing then just goto the homepage and download it then.
This isn't Linux - BeOS doesn't comes with everything by default. Not everyone downloads or uses 'max' edition or whatever (and I bet is a far fewer number).
