Thank you for all your work and making the sources available. Ironically, I (well, we as in my family) did the same thing! Moved 2800 miles away to the opposite corner of the country. :) I too bought a Mac mini (right now I am on a 20" iMac G5 until my "new" PC arrives so I can use BeOS again).

Hi all,
Unfortunately I will not be continuing development on BeAccessible. I've recently gotten a new job, moved across the country, and made the switch to a Mac Mini. I have, however, donated the source code to BeUnited. It's now available via cvs:
cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@code.beunited.org:/cvs/beaccessible
There's no license attached to the code; it's in the public domain. I hope others will be able to benefit from it.
Thanks,
randar

I like R4.5. Simpler. Also, I go hog-wild with 5.0.3 and overload my machine until it is just a big junk heap and crashes left and right. :) In otherwords I am addicted to BeOS. At least R4.5-2 keeps me in check somewhat. I have to find the sources and build the apps I want myself. It makes it both interesting, and also prevents me from wanting every application and library and add-on I see on BeBits.
Also, R4.5 is a pretty nice version. Very solid actually, and I've had nary a problem with it (except for lack of apps, and also does not recognize the wheel on my mouse).

Sorry, tuishimi, I plan on keeping the source code closed for the time being. Just out of curiosity, why are you on R4.5? Can you upgrade to R5?

Thanks to all for your comments!
Regarding a new name, I'm inclined to keep BeAccessible for now. The reason is that that's my goal for this project: to create an app that's very similar to MS Access. The name itself has helped to focus my efforts while I've been designing and coding, so I plan on keeping it for the time being. I won't rule out a name change in the future, though.

I absolutely love where this app appears to be heading!
The name does certainly need a change.
Maybe BeSQLAccessible or something that denotes SQL (lite) is related to this app.
I first look thinking there was a text magnifier, sticky keys, or something of that nature...
Hmm, gives me an idea... wonder If I could write an input_server add-on for mouse trails? Heh

It looks promising, but it still has a ways to go. Besides the obvious things like queries and reports, I love the control that MS-Access forms and subforms give me over the screen display of the database.
I'll be following this one.

Sorry about that, Mahmoud, there was still a bit of debugging code left in. This should be fixed now.
