Disabling my joystick, now it works. This is the first time I looked at the Joystick preference panel under BeOS. This game brings back memories. Nice.

This sounds like the old rogue joystick button/axis presses bug in BeOS where non existent joysticks are made available to BJoystick, make sure that you disable any joystick ports with no joysticks connected, such as gameport/201 etc, alternatively you can modify the file inputwindow.cpp's draw function, change the for loop to 128, the joystick inputs are from 128 and up.

Help - I cannot configure any keyboard controls, hence cannot insert coins, press fire, move left/right (you get the picture).
