The link is dead, even the one referred in the last comment. Anyone kind enough to email it to me?

I was able to get the driver through ozone for windows. I am using it now and it seems to work reasonably well. I was not sure what init string to use. I am using this one: Generic_Rockwell_Based_HCF_V.90_2 AT&F&C1&D2+MS=v90,0. I was not able to get any dialing and connection sounds. I tried to insert M2 after AT that did not work to turn on the modem sounds I also tried ML2 that did not work either. I have put W2 at the init string end so as to show the connection speed and it shows 49333kb/s. So that is not bad. If I could get modem sounds that would be even better. Can anyone give me a hint please. The card ID is: 1033.

this driver gives support only for a few device's so firstly you must know what device id and vendor id represent your modem- for more reelevant information see http://www.bedrivers.com/hardware/info.php?product=1061&category=29&sub=32. I have an internal HCF based modem with id 14f1:1436 and yhe same problem as you if I try to use this driver.
See you

I am using Beos 5. I have a conexant modem from my old e-machine, that I was hoping to get to work with it. I downloaded the driver and installed it. Under dial-up networking I can see trimodem in the section where you choose which serial port to use. Everytime I try to connect using it, it reports that it can't open the serial port. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
