Well, I doubt therre's gonna be Gigabit support soon. But that's not why I'm posting this.

I'm wondering; is there a way to copy the unpatched BONE eepro driver to Zeta? I've done the same in reverse, so I'm assuming they have basically left BONE internals the same. This would open up many Zeta users' net support while allowing them to use upgrades.

any drivers or support for Intel Pro/1000MT gigabit cards

Does anyone know how to get Intel Pro/1000MT cards recognized?

gigabit, not fastthernet

INtel Pro/1000MT are gigabit cards, not fastethernet cards. They're using competely different chipsets and will never work with the eepro100 driver.

Network Settings

You should be able to setup gateway and ip settings in Preferences -> Network...

Don't Press SET there before you have set valid settings because the Network Preferences Window tends to hang if you have invalid settings...

afterwards press apply and restart networking... that should work...

also try disabling all other network cards except the one you are trying to configure and loop

I tried manually patching the 1000MT (100e), got it recognised by Zeta, can ping myself, but have gateway for routing set to 0.0.0.0, hence I cannot see anything else. Anyone know how to set default route using ifconfig? Using Boneyard/network prefs is a negative...

EEPRO100, not 1000

Your NIC is a EEPRO1000, not an EEPRO100.... COMPLETELY different card. Hence this will never work on it

don't work again... :(

more detail: Intel 82544XT PRO/1000 MT Desktop Adapter
In Zeta RC2 Devices I see as PCI_ID: 100E

Zeta RC2 seems to come with a new version of this driver...

My Patcher is not supported on Zeta, it won't do anything but recreate the exact same driver Zeta ships with...

If your card isn't supported there I can't help you with that... Sorry!

doesn't work...
