There are a number of gotchas with BeOS using these advanced cameras and lack of good usable RAW is just one of them. I used BeOS virtually exclusively from about 1998 until 6-9 months ago when I got the free Ubuntu CDs and loaded it on my second hard drive mainly needing support for using the D70 raw pictures. Most of BeOS graphics software can not deal with pictures also over 1 meg or larger too. I would recommend using UBUNTU and downloading and installing UFRAW and DCRAW and using UFRAW to open and manipulate the raw pictures and not Gimp. UFRAW is great with RAW images and light years ahead in its cpabilities versus what BeOS has and then there is Lightzone which is free for Linux but buy only commercial software for the Mac and Windows. We need all this for Haiku but I don't see them understanding this, so Haiku can do top notch modern graphics that users will demand for 2007 and beyond. It is "have to have" every bit as much as a good media players. With BeOS/Haiku capabilities it could "steal" the consumer and commercial graphics market with the right software as these pictures have become larger and larger and more complex and will continue to do so. Time is money doing these types of pictures and Haiku could do them far far faster than all the alternative operating systems.
If you try UBUNTU then be sure and get the apps I recommended above for RAW and also the nwest Digikam 9.0 when Ubuntu has that available. They have a plugin called Refocus which is interesting it looks like. Maybe Haiku can talk Ubuntu out of switch from the problems of Linux over too the Haiku kernel and file system and start using it. This would solve a lot of problems for both camps and I think you would see full Google support for such a dream team in open source--Dwight

I've updated the file so it should now read olympus files. You may need to set the file's mime type to image/x-olympusraw. Let me know how it goes.

Nice idea. If you can add Olympus support, I'll test it out. I known dcraw has .ORF support, so it shouldn't be too hard.
