in Phos but in BeOS 5.0.3 I still get the following error: Could not open ppc Missing symbol: select.

The mouse works fine now.

prom_bootmethod = "select" doesn't work anymore

Thanx for your efforts,
Zittergie

Can I take the latest 0.2-source and will it compile under Zeta?
This is really a very interesting and long anticipated project! Great work and many thanks to all involved!

Now I wonder if I can run AmigaOS4.0/PPC or MorphOS on PearPC....:^)

This patch is against recent cvs.
http://clapcrest.free.fr/revol/beos/patches/pearpc-cvs.patch.10.txt
I will commit it as soon as I can make sure it works.

This patch adds some files needed to compile:

Continuation of my last post

Alright, not sure what is going on, but I accidentally hit submit on my last post, then resubmitted the rest of my response, and it never got submitted. Anyways...

One issue I noticed is that the numpad doesn't work at all. To choose the bootable partition, I have to use the numeric row at the top of the keyboard to select the bootable partition. This is a tiny issue, and I don't really care if/when it gets fixed. I figured I'd point it out in any case.

I also noticed that hitting any arrow keys seems to crash PearPC. Actually, I can't verify yet that is is "any" arrow key, but most certainly I get a crash when I hit the "Down" arrow key to attempt to scroll down the language list.

I'm not sure if these are problems with PearPC itself, or with the port. Perhaps later on today, I'll boot into Windows and give that version a whirl.

Thanks for the hard work on the port.

Same problem as HarvestMoon, plus a couple others

I am also having problems with the mouse while trying to install Mac OSX 10.3. Basically, the mouse is only visible when it is around the fringes of the window, so it is pretty much useless. I never installed OSX before, so I'm not sure what I have to hit on the keyboard to get past the language selection screen. Was trying Tab+Space and a bunch of other stuff, but didn't seem to get anywhere.

how fast ...

would PearPC be with JIT, compared to no JIT?

I can test it if you wish. I have a disk image of OS X that I use in both Windows and Linux.

I got jitc support compiling, but I can't test it since I don't have any macOS image. Same for mouse and video, the code is supposed to work until I can really test it :p

mouse _does_ work ...

... but it is unusable.
the mouse-input is grabbed on pressing F12, and the mouse moves. you just dont see the movement, because the screen isn't updated correctly (well, you have to force a redraw by moving some other stuff above the window).
i think PearPC is _great_. excellent work by the PearPC team and kudos to mmu_man

Ok, I misunderstood things!. I put a link at the bottom to the sources. I didn't know it was port, but thought it was compiled straight from CVS...

I was about to remove it, but have since talked Francois 'mmu_man', and was told I can leave it.

hmmm...

That was *not* to be published yet !
I didn't compile it, I *ported* it, and it's not ready yet. The publisher violated the GPL by posting a binary he didn't have the source for... :p
The binary only has generic cpu emulation, so it's dog slow.
I'll look into just-in-time emulation this week.
