I beg to disagree. There already is lsindex, rmindex, mkindex in a normal beos installation, so cpindex feels natural, atleast to me.

Agreed, plural is better. 'cpindexes' it is then!
(both forms are ok, according to my dictionary)

Shouldn't it better be called "cpindices" or "cpindexes" instead of the singular? It's a bit confusing to call it cpindex.
