| Option: Try All Servers not stepping through server list "Waiting for answer: No Error" |

The GUI checkbox item Try All Servers doesn't appear to function on Ver 1.0.2
Here's how to illustrate and reproduce the bug:
Edit the Server List and a new IP that we know does not exist (Ex: 10.1.77.88) to the top of the Server List, then select that entry as default with Options -> Servers -> checkbox in the NetworkTime app
When the app is run, an attempt is made to the non-existant IP, NetworkTime waits for a duration and then gives up.
Version 1.0.2 does not then continue through the list of time servers. The application either stops or exits.
The GUI version will report the error of Waiting for answer: No Error; which seems odd.
The cmd line version simply gives up and exits.
This should be relatively straightforward to duplicate and fix.

| How to disable Auto mode to get the GUI back? |

While using the NetworkTime app Ver 1.0.2, I have run into a bug related to the feature implemention for Auto Mode.
It appears that once Auto is set, and the app is closed, on subsequent relaunch you no longer get the GUI to disable the Auto feature.
This happens primarily in the GUI mode.
Is there a relatively easy way, say via command line switch, to re-enable the GUI mode ~ reguardless of the Auto setting?

Handy little app, especially when you have a flaky battery in your mobo... of flaky something anyway...

Hi - just tried your nice little app. Alas, when I hit the button, my clock jumped forward an hour. Is it not taking GMT into account? I thereafter ran NTP, an older but similiar app, and my clock went back to where it should be.

Thanks for all the bug reports! Version 1.0.1 should not suffer of any of these anymore.
The name is indeed very similar to the application name of Bebits app 624 (called NTP, but the application within is called Networktime) - you can see this application as a replacement to that one.

When using the command line options "-n" and "-g" it gives an "invalid option"-error:
$ /boot/apps/NetworkTime/NetworkTime -n
/boot/apps/NetworkTime/NetworkTime: invalid option -- n
usage: NetworkTime [-s|--server <host>] [-p|--periodic <interval>] [-n|--silent] [-g|--nogui]
-s, --server Contact "host" instead of saved list
-p, --periodic Periodically query for the time, interval specified in minutes
-n, --silent Do not print progress
-g, --nogui Do not show graphical user interface (implied by other options)
$ /boot/apps/NetworkTime/NetworkTime -g
/boot/apps/NetworkTime/NetworkTime: invalid option -- g
usage: NetworkTime [-s|--server <host>] [-p|--periodic <interval>] [-n|--silent] [-g|--nogui]
-s, --server Contact "host" instead of saved list
-p, --periodic Periodically query for the time, interval specified in minutes
-n, --silent Do not print progress
-g, --nogui Do not show graphical user interface (implied by other options)
All other options do work (including "--silent" and "--nogui").
Also, your "Read Me"-file says:
author.
"albumattr" is written by Axel Dörfler <axeld@pinc-software.de>.
visit: www.pinc-software.de
"albumattr" should be replaced with "NetworkTime".

As I knew my clock was a bit off, I d/l'ed, unzipped and run it to update my clock...
It went from 22:13 - 27/12/2004 to 02:15 - 28/12/2004 (+ 4 Hs).
If the difference had been +3 I would have said that it is not taking in account the Local/GMT setting, as my timezone is GMT-3 (ART) and I'm storing local time in the RTC (for no particular reason).
But... after seeing Mike's post... maybe it is not taking Local/GMT setting into account AND has an offset of one hour?
Anyway... nice app. A question/suggestion:
Why not integrate its functionality into Haiku's Time preflet?
Having it there, as a new tab, would be nice (disabling its "Update" button if we are not on-line).
Thanks for ALL your work Axel!
BiPolar.

The name looked very familiar and I thought I used it already, but it turns out the app from NTP is also called NetworkTime.

I use EST/EDT, New York for my time slot. It's 1:23 here now but it sets it to 2:23. Otherwise it seems to work fine!
