The app is a very good idea especially since SoundPlay's built-in playlist editor doesn't let you do to many things.
Here are a few suggestions:
1. Ability to search for files in the playlist. Something like wildcard text search.
2. Abiility to modify playlist by moving stuff around.
3. Make it possible for the user to DIRECTLY insert into the listview - shouldn't be too hard because I just coded such a thing in ColumnListView.
By the way, its a very nice idea and a very good start. and keep coding :)

Can you modify a playlist? I can't seeem to find a way to change a playlist.
I'm using the Beos version on Zeta RC2
