It works fine now, deleted the bad aac files were no good on windows too but if I have then I'll send it!

The problem however is our ISP with it's f data limit, slow's terribly down when over 250MB per week!

I knew I could use VLC to play aac files but I like Sounplay far better (have it registered too).

VLC had this annoying bug but it's fixed with the cpu timer patch from bebits.

Somehow I have downloaded problematic aac files on which winamp choked on, they crash soundplay but VLC play them ok.

Thanks for your great job!

cvincent: there already exist tools for removing the encryption from tunes bought at the iTunes store. Since you can only buy from the iTunes store using Windows or MacOS, I don't think it is a problem that such tools do not exist for BeOS.

hmm how many times did I hear about things that will revolutionize the world :)
Now, beware AAC is as patent-and-licence-bloated than mp3.
The only true standard (IMO the word standard includes freedom of use and code) audio codec is Vorbis.

Works as advertised. No variable pitch bugs, works seamlessly with Soundplay...no bugs found.

Excellent addition for anyone with AAC rips.

Try this, too: http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/blogs/gems/stuff/BeOSMP4AACTools.zip

until the author finds something more permanent.

Geocities has a 3GB limit, measured on an hourly basis. That means that after 7 people download this file, they will shut down the site for the rest of the hour. So try again later. I'll try to find another place too.

Oh Awesome!

"tools" doesn't mean much, usually it's for standalone apps. If it's a soundplay plugin, then just tell it, it's much faster when looking up names in a search :)
