Very impressiv to port a game like this to BeOS since "Elite" was one of my favorite C64 Games.
Thanks for this. Only I have to look for documentation (instructions) now.

Attentively read that is written in the description of the project.
"JJFFE is a hacked and reverse-engineered version of a commercial game, therefore it's probably illegal to download it even if you own the original legally."

Just add the complete game files and everything so I don't have to do all the extra work to get it to run. Nobody wants to have a lame shareware thing.

Germans have to type"z" instead "y" to accept the terms.
Auf der deutschen Tastatur muss "z" anstelle von "y" gedrückt werden um die Software-Bedingungen mit "ja", ich akzeptiere zu bestätigen.

The fonts on the tracker's window look really good. What tracker variant are you using? Are the shadows been rendered by the tracker, or they were already on the fonts?
