To fix some issues. One is that APlayer leaves the tracker unusable for about 5 seconds after it loads. Two is that the app priority needs to be realtime display priority, for every new medule it plays. I cannot stand to not multitask and have to listen to my modules crack and pause. I use slayer to change the priority on each module played but I can't do a change each time a new module plays. Three: the warning messages, like 'Error 4 cannot read the sample information' get in the way. They should be disabled completely because the modules continue to play perfectly after you hit okay or if you dont click okay in the dialog.
Other than that, I used to use CL-amp to play modules but then found out that they sound better on APlayer, I can see the song time/remain, module info etc. Except for the issues above.

Any volunteers ?

Your player rocks!
There's only one detail... when there's a bit of activity in my computer (moving windows around) the player seems to stop for a moment and then continues. Perhaps making the "playing" threads' priority a few levels higher would be the answer
(What threads would you recommend? Perhaps it can be done vía ProcessController and there's no need to modify your app..)

i just did read on beosjournal about it being the last by you, i understand that a sound player project is not something that can keep interest for too long but you really did great with it.
I hope you just don't give up and perhaps take another challenge in another kind of app because you really are a quality beos developer.

Hi,
Nice to see an update again. I use APlayer once in a
while, but one thing stops me from constantly using
it.I like to add system wide short-cuts to control the
player, but with APlayer I don't know how to do that.
It would be great if APlayer would support beos
scripting,so "hey" could be used to control it.Other
than that,I think this player is simply great!

I've made aplayer my preffered app to play all the supported files. The sound quality seems to be a lot better, btw. The GUI is very slick, too.
thanks for this great app, I hope you'll keep updating it! ^_^

I'm dizzy just looking at all of the options! This is one that will require some reading to take full advantage of, but it is definitely worth the time. This is very high-quality software, and something that the "media OS" needs more of. Thanks, Thomas, for maintaining the PPC version, too!!
