R5 CPU and settins file ...

Glad to announce you that this version does run on BeOS R5 (plain vanilla - you just need to install the missing libs from the libpak http://www.bebits.com/app/3322).
With this version the fps are limited to 60fps witch seemed to cause the high cpu usage.
The settings files can't be redirected for the time being (at least I haven't found a way for it yet), talked over IRC about this and this is probably a possix issue linked to the system it self.
Anyway ... enjoy the game. ;)

And another thing...

Ok, nice to know.

One other thing I really dislike at those ported games is, that they store their settingsfiles to /home.
BeOS/ZETA/Haiku has a settingsfolder for that.
If you tried out some funny ported games, you'll find your home folder messed up with hundreds of settingsfiles...

If there is a chance to change that path to /home/config/settings I would be very happy if that could be done :)

Just as a sidenote.

Regards,
Das Jott

I am glad you like it. I thought it was cute too, that is why I ported it.

I hadn't noticed it uses 100% cpu. Probably something to do with the SDL or how the game loop is made.

When I get the time, I will check it out, perhaps when I port it to R5 too.

Really nice game

I really like it.
When I was a child I also had such a wooden train :D

The only problem I have here on ZETA 1.2 is 100% cpu usage once the game is up and running.

What could cause that?
