The DreamChess download on zeta-os.com (which is *not* version 0.1.0, just to be clear), uses 'GamePack' libraries. Could someone test the dreamchess-glu binary with that library set (e.g. by symlinking /boot/apps/DreamChess-0.1.0/lib to /boot/home/config/lib/GamePack/lib).

The dreamchess-glu binary doesn't work for you either? That's odd. We had DreamChess working with the nvidia 3D drivers. I suspect it's an SDL problem of some kind. We're going to dig up our old nvidia cards and have a closer look.

On my Nvidia P3 System with rudolph's 3D driver. Billard 3d is working here as well but not Dream Chess I got the same error like you. You should use Raphaels DreamChess Version 0.1.0.
On my Radeon P4 System with the original gl-library and with Radeon it is working nicely.
That means DreamChess will not work if you changed your library with Rudolfs drivers. So dont change it leave it like this. Otherwise Billard GL will not work. I mean it is not possible to make the two games run at the same time.

This version was compiled for R5. None of the DreamChess developers have Zeta so we can't support it.
It requires the following libraries: SDL, SDL_image and GL.
It works with the GL library from R5, but we recommend upgrading to Mesa 6. Rudolf's 3D driver works as well, but is untested with this release as we currently have no 3D-compatible machine available. It may be required that you compile DreamChess yourself and install a version of SDL that's hacked to work with the 3D driver.
Regarding the Zeta package on zeta-os.com. It's currently out-of-date. Perhaps it'll be updated soon.

Ah yes that is why, this Version is for Nvidia Users with the 3D-Driver from Rudolph, only.
If you use Rafael_K Version a script is asking you if you want to use the experimental hardware support from Rudolph or without hardwaresupport. Btw it is Version 0.1.0 as well.

Nice game. Graphics were amazingly creative, CPU measure was remarkably low while playing. Nice save and restore feature too.
I haven't tried on BeOS yet. Ran from Linux.
