When I read the description of your application I had a nice idea for zeta, haiku or whatever:
I think it would be very eyecatching if the file browser supports thumbs of movies like your app does but additionaly begins to play the movie (without sound?) as thumbnail if you select the file. *dreaming...* :D

an image not in the move :)

I was thinking of making a "movie lancher" so that my kids can start movies by klicking on a image (same as the DVD cover) to start the movie.

and this think can perhaps make it easier :)

Update ffmpeg and it supports WMV9 ;)

I'll put R5 and ZETA builds of current SVN ffmpeg up some time this week.

To BeOS Mr.X: Maybe i didn't explain well, ok i explain again with an example, in Windows XP when you have a movie and you select Thumbnails you see the images in thumbnails and you see the first frame of the video files as a thumbnail but it isn't animated so Video Thumbnailer do that it takes a frame of a movie and change the icon of the video file with that frame, so when you browse your HDD with the Tracker you'll see your video files with an image of the video.

For R5 you need to have installed the SVG Pack and Tracker.NewFS, and of course ffmpeg encoder (not decoders), if you don't find it tell me and i'll post to download it.

To ModeenF: > Would it be possible to choose another image?
Do you mean another image from the movie or another image in jpg, png... if you mean another frame from the movie you can change the second of the snapshot, open the add-on with QuickRes and edit the field called "seconds" change the 0 by any other number.

Regards.

This I must test :)

Creates a video thumbnail... so like a frame compilation at intervals and then together in one img ? Well it doesnt work in R5.
