I've not yet tried this, but from looking at the screenshots (and the BeIDE code file ;P) i can see its a pretty cool undertaking! Will try this later (since i'm on linux now).

It's very refreshing to see there are still people coding for BeOS/Zeta even when Haiku isn't yet released.

Thanks ; )

Window movement functionality will be improved in the next version (I'm allready working on this). The application still has a lot of features missing, but for me it reached a point where it starts to get useful. Therefore I decided to upload this version (so you will hopefully find some bugs ;).

This application is testet on BeOS 5.0.3 with newest libs and bins and Zeta LiveCD 1.2.1.
So it should run on most BeOS-like systems (can't tell if this works with BONE since this has never been an official BeOS version).
If Jukebox doesn't start please report the error message here!

P.S.: Of course everyone can create his/her own skin for this application! Just duplicate the base folder in the skin directory, rename it to whatever you want and now replace all the .bmp-files. Every item (buttons, bars, etc...) also has it's own .cfg file (position, size, colors, etc...). This means you can place every item wherever you want.

Realy nice app

Yes the ability to change the window would be preferred.

This app works in Zeta 1.21 :)

You probably want to change from any processor to intel :)

Nice

It looks great, but a little bit to dark. I hope we can get some skins next time :-).

I like it.

If you need tried-and-proven code for handling window movements without using the system decor, let me know. I have a LOT of such code, and it is all very much purpose-oriented.

Actually, if you need pretty much any kind of BeOS-specific code, let me know.. my machine is a massive suppository of source code specifically for BeOS ( ported/in-progress, native, whatever ).

The fact that I can't move the window around makes the app much less usable :-(

I also was going this route with a MediaOrganizer, which utilized folder layouts for Band/Album, and, using my icon system, SVG or PNG icons for every band and album. BeOS attributes are filled in on-command using the folder structure, and other goodies which had already made their way into the first functional draft I made ( I develop in a FAR different manner than most ).

So if you need ANYTHING, let me know. I think this application could certainly thrive on BeOS-Haiku, given some more work to ensure it assumes the proper personality for the system where possible.
