In trying to stay loyal to the original BeOS iconset, the Firefox icon didn't get a shadow, just like Netpositive hasn't got one (one might reason that since our globe tends to hang in the Universe, it has no flat surface underneath it to project its shadow upon).
It was decided then to give the other spheres no shadow either, to stay consistent.
The remaining icons (minus one) all have shadows, though not in all cases as large as I'd like...but space was limited there.
The only icon that proved impossible to equip with a shadow, is the TuneTracker icon...but there you might use the excuse that it's a wall sign, not a table sign :D
(Also) hoping someone will pick up the idea of converting them to Haiku icons,

These icons are brilliant. Most of them are very funny on top of that. As for critique, some of these icons look like they could use a shadow. Would be awesome to have these icons redone in Haiku format. Don't bother with WonderBrush and VLC though, I already did those... :-)

Some missing remarks have just been added to the page. I'll probably make a Transmission icon, but it's not sure if it will be based on the MacOSX design.
The orange stylized flame of the later Helios versions seems hard to make an attractive icon out of....but maybe later. For now the blue flamed CD looks cool, IMHO.

I guess I don't get whats so great about plain looking icons. I would rather have some crystallized svg icons like the rest of the new OS's do .

Glad you like it...the Seamonkey icon isn't included as it can be found here already: http://www.bebits.com/app/4424. I use the icon from an old (1.4) Helios version (it's on the screenshot). About Transmission: the part on requests still needs to be added, several BeBits server errors blocked that earlier.
