Make sure your have the apm driver installed, and your laptop supports apm (newer ones dont).

All I get on my laptop is a ?.
The laptop is an HP/Compaq nc8000
Should it work on this one...does anyone know?

So, new icons, same bugs :D
Why didn't you just reuse BatteryView instead ? dupped work is a big problem on the small beos scene already.
Btw, there is a (beclan IIRC) project for a laptop-specific tool that handles apm, wifi and other stuff, can't find the url atm. Maybe you could try working on it.

I developed this app by using the apm driver source code (to know how to read the apm registers). The idea is not really new, but I wanted to write a better version of BatteryView (nicer icons, warnings, etc...).
Open/close of the apm driver will change in the next version.

is it ? Is it based on the old version ? Did you use the fix I made to not open()close() the driver every second that stopped the disk drive from spinning down, which for a laptop isn't nice ?
