yes, the pkg will install the driver by itself. just double click on it, and follow the instructions. All the .pkg files on beos are something like setup.exe on windows i would say.

Where does the driver go, or does the .pkg path or route it there for me when I install it?
I have a motherboard with the 8237 and having network issues no matter what NIC I use, but I'm not quite an expert on BeOS yet.

This drivers works better than the one that comes with Zeta 1.21.
The original drivers start failing on hi loads reducing the transfer rate to a few bytes/sec making the network useless. With this drivers i transfer over a gigabyte at a rate speed of 2.60 megabytes/sec. The only problem is that the mouse jumps a little (don't move properly) on hi load, but only once in a while.
My network card is a Via Rhine VT-6103 that comes in the motherboard ASRock 775DUAL-VSTA/A/ASRK.
