Those backslashes...

A final word (unless I ever get to say Yaay, it's fixed!(:-) on the backslash plague. I was slightly embarrassed [but _only_ slightly...(:-)] to find that the feedback page on my own website suffered from the same problem! However, that enabled me to actually find the cause.

It's a 'feature' in PHP (which presumably runs BeBits too) called 'Magic Quotes', that does exactly that -- escapes quotes and backslashes with backslashes on incoming form data. Unfortunately, although everyone recommends that it be turned off, it is ON by default. It looks as if BeBits does have it on.

It _is_ an easy fix -- a couple of minutes on my system -- so it would be nice if someone at BeBits or their server could look into it.

Gee.

Not sure I ever knew who was Mr. Bebits.
http://www.bebits.com/staff is the link to the staff.

I am always a big fan of people who can create apps.

Keep up the good work and don't let this stop you.

Respect must be earned

I'm sorry that you took extreme (!) exception to my *slightly* strongly worded 'description'..
Somehow I doubt that you are a contributor to this site, otherwise you would know hard it is to get the operators' attention!
I have tried sending them mail about the problem without the result, so my comment was a final desperate scream for help.
It is of course your right to take the retaliatory action you did, but I think you prbably don't understand the situation.
(And yes, I have been contributing apps since the *very* beginning.)

A little respect...

Would go a long way. While you have posted several apps on BeBits over a fairly long period of time, that gives you no right to use profanity directed at them at any time, especially posted out in the public for everyone to read. That's very unprofessional, uncalled for, and is inviting administrative action that reasonable people would conclude would include terminating your account and all your listings on here: I know I certainly would, regardless of whether you complained about a real or perceived bug in the system.

I thought you might like to know: unless they take administrative action to cancel my vote, even if your app is otherwise a perfect 10, I voted a 1 for this app for your written verbal abuse of the providers of something that is provided for free to you.
