is there is no zeta menu folder in an R5 insrall so it puts the apps in a folder that is basically linked nowhere, although it creates the folders on /home/config,it goes nowhere from there, because in R5 the path is /home /config/be

Keep in mind guys that I'm no developer ;) so porting the games for me was kind of a major step.
Where and if possible I can compile games to be used from any point on your installation I will do so ... but things aren't that easy for me and sometimes I just need to use a prefix (and using /boot/apps/Games comes natural to me as ZETA is still my main BeOS OS).
For those that don't want to create links to your BeMenu ... creating a link to the folder can be very easy and your games can be started from there.
"ln -s /boot/home/config/ZetaMenu/Software/Games/ /boot/home/config/be/Applications/Games" does just that.
If you feel the urge of deleting the game (I need to so also ... or my harddrive would be swapped with them) ;) you can still just remove the entry in /boot/apps/Games and in the subfolder in /boot/home/config/ZetaMenu/Software/Games.
Nice to hear you guys enjoy the games though :D ... makes it a good point to keep up the work. ;)

thwe app is apparently hard wired to live in a folder called Games in boot/apps and doesn't run anywhere else, this is a Zeta convention,R5 in the pre-max days had no such thing and I always put my games in a folder called /boot/home/games.Personally I wish you would just compile this stuff to run anywhere in BeOS and leave the linking up to the user, that has been the BeOS way since day one,a lot of times I just expand a newapp to the desktop to try it out and if I don't like it,or need it just drag it to the trash, this makes it easy for me,if it's a"keeper" then I put it where I want it.anyways it's a nice little game, keep it up!

If the games are ZETA specific it would have been added in the post here on BeBits too. Before adding it to BeBits I tested it here myself on a clean BeOS R5 install.
Some of the libs aren't default installed in R5 that's why I added a link to the libpak.
Libraries like SDL, png, jpg, freetype, ogg, etc are working well with these games.
Me running zeta-games doesn't mean I'm not targeting (although that was the first intend) ZETA only games.
The latest (and even previous) games have been tested here and working on R5. The only ZETA specific spot in the zip's is that they are compiled against a path to run the installer in after compiling. So 'make install' mostly installs them in /boot/apps/Games/ that doesn't mean it wont work on R5.

For those that don't know,
Begasus operates a site called, Zeta Games http://www.zeta-games.com
Most of the stuff he posts on here is going to be geared towards Zeta.

perhaps a lees Zeta specific archive would be better? not sure beu expanding this file sets up some very Zteta specific paths and it promptly crahes on startup under R5.
Could somebody get this working on R5 /Haiku and re post it?
