Rather than post a new version, I'm just noting here that there was a bug in the original Csound 4.23 code that caused a crash (on Linux too!) when you tried to read an audio file. I've amended the downloadable packages to fix this (same version number).
Also, it is not obvious how to make real-time MIDI input actually real-time (without a long lag)! For those wanting to do this, the secret is to use a software buffer size of -1 (minus one). HTH
