Hello,

Thanks a lot.

weird operation on compaq armada e500

I get sound no problem, but i cannot adjust the volumes in the media properties. No matter what i change them to they always move themselves back to their default value. That's not a problem, except the left and right channels are not at the same volume. So if i'm listening to headphones, the left side is about 15% louder then the right side. i'm using a compaq armada e500 from about two years ago.

Another problem i've had periodically, if i turn on real time sound, i can almost be garaunteed that the system will drop to a sluggish standstill eventually, many times on boot. I've disabled this feature, as i dont' really have a need for real time sound, but maybe someone could help me out.

is the source for this driver available?

Maestro-2 gameport fail

Hi, I don't know if it just does not work, or if the driver is the problem, but I can't get a gamepad recognized using this driver, I've even went back and copied all gameport files and joystick files from the cd to their respective locations thinking that would help. It's not finding the gamepad, and of course, that gamepad is on the list of ones supported. Sidewinder game pad.(yes, but I had that working with that old soundblaster ISA I was running). Anyone having problems with the maestro game port with the 1869 based card?

May the source be with us

I second the request for a driver and/or source. Also, anyone know if there are specs on the device anywhere? I haven't really looked, but it'd be a start :o)

Hi, it really great that you write this stuff. I was having a little trouble gettting your driver to work on a Micron Transport ZX. This one to be percise:
http://support.micronpc.com/apps/onespec.asp?Hub=TransportPIIIZX&Include=

There are both using the same Maestro-2E from ESS.

It would be great if this interest you in anyway or you have any sugestions.

After rebooting the computer will go really slow. If you restart the Media Services it dies on " Telling Media Service Add_On to Quit".

From your post it seems that you are really interested in getting this going on as many laptops as you can. If you would like to call me my number is: 206-696-2928

Thank you,

Sean Beeson
