I'm confused, but I can boot again! It seems the patch left me with a 0-byte kernel_mac file. Not sure what went wrong. PowerMac4400/200 with Macally iKey keyboard. Funny thing is, when I had some bad RAM, I could use this keyboard and my Contour Unimouse -- at least until the system froze. Neither work at the moment. I gave this a shot just to see if I could get them back, but no dice. The system became unbootable... I recommend having another bootable partition ready to go, just in case. All I had to do was copy kernel_mac from the good system to the hosed one, and everything is good again.
