Hello,
I'am using that driver on my Compaq E500, but it have a weird problem :
When i close my laptop (or when i press the switch), it is suppose to turn off the screen as it does with Linux and Windows.
I thought that switch was just there to cut the power, sadely on BeOS it just freeze my computer :'( (not in safe mode tough)
I'am not sure if is a problem from the driver, perhaps you could help me ?
Thanks indeed for your work.
Jean-Marc

Thank you for this driver! My Compaq Presario 1700T works nicely with it, much better than having to fall back onto BeOS native VESA support. Speedy, resolution changes work, etc. Using the key on the laptop to switch the display to the external monitor port locks the machine, but the fix for that is easy (Don't hit that key! :) )

Works fine on my new Vaio notebook too !
ATI Rage Mobility M1
Athlon 1400 XP works after aplying path, need to
disable HTL in idle and Bios Calls to run ok.
Sound (VIA AC97) works native (realtime must be off)
Network (RTL8139) works native
USB works native
Great NEW Notebook that runs BeOS !

This Sony Vaio PCG36A (Athlon cpu, 1/4g RAM, quite fast) displayed only grayscale even with the latest BeOS 5.03. The Mobility driver brought color to life, making this now the DREAM MACHINE - portable, very fast, fun to use, and can render POV-Ray images quicker than any other of my machines. Graphics, cursors and all, looks perfect.

A most welcome and appreciated driver. I am running 5 PE on a Thinkpad A20m and this driver works flawlessly when BeOS is cold booted. When switching from Windows 2000 to BeOS, there is some flickering at higher resolutions. This is just another reason to avoid WIndows altogether! As another reviewer noted, I have the same problem with reboot not working properly after installing this driver (shutdown works fine) but it is a small price to pay for color!

The driver is ignored by the Hewlett-Packard HP900B.
The Video card is an ATI Rage P/M Mobility AGP X2.

Finally a good driver for the ATI Rage mobilty chipset. Now I can run BeOS in all it's fame and glory on my Inspiron 7000. Little things still need to be done on the driver, likefixing the power management issues (you can't choose restart only shutdown or the monitor goes crazy and the computer starts beeping) I am looking forward to seeing the final release of this driver.
